Our Track Record

For more than 80 years the Federation has been one of the most important institutional actors in Colombia. The fact that it is a non-for-profit Organization, without political interests, allowed the Federation to consolidate as a representative and respected organization by the communities for its professionalism, independence and management capacity. At the national and international levels, our Federation and its committees of coffee growers are considered to be unique in their class.

Only in2009 we invested the equivalent of  1 million dollars a day in all of our Sustainability That Matters programs for the benefit of Colombian coffee growers and their families. The fact that we investt constantly in our social and environmental projects and the sum of these two amounts make us, from the perspective of implementation of programs and resources, one of the 10 largest non profit organizations in the world.

From the point of view of our partners we are one of the most professional and trustworthy organizations that they have dealt with in the world. Diverse publications and testimonies support to our credibility with allies, partners, donors and other NGOs.

This table is a summary of the results of our Federation's work and results in social infrastructure with own funds, National Coffee Fund (FoNC), and/or with other party funding (1965-2007)
