Incorporating Biodiversity in Colombia´s Coffee Sector project was evaluated by the UNDP

The Incorporating Biodiversity in Colombia´s Coffee Sector project, developed by the FNC and currently executed by the Departmental Coffee Growers Committee of Valle del Cauca, was recently evaluated by representatives of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

The evaluators witnessed the developments of the project, its interagency alliances, and its strong commitment with biodiversity. The tour through Valle del Cauca included a visit to farms that have implemented the Landscape Management Tools and the “Vivero de Especies Nativas,” and to the headquarters of the Departmental Committee and the Regional Autonomous Corporation of Valle de Cauca (CVC).

UNDP´s representatives were pleased with the project and highlighted the strength of the FNC´s products and services, the agreements established with regional entities, the FNC´s permanent support, and the participation of municipal authorities in the initiative.
